g’day!  hah yes i know i havent been updating for like damn long. ohwell. just got back from melbourne for my sabbaticals. had some HP program with the university of melbourne, and its pretty fun even though i’m not from HP (humanities programme, in case you dont know). australia damn shuang, especially when you can walk 1km down the road in a sweater and not sweat a bit, eat and eat and amazingly didnt gain a single kg (neither did i lose). lifestyle there is super carefree, shops close at 5pm, school starts late, weather’s nice, ppl are nice. no wonder so many ppl migrate to australia.

day 1!
i was among the lucky 11! to be flying with ms teo on thai airways (yes a touch of thai), so which means longer flight (fly through bangkok), reach melbourne earlier and leave melbourne later. i love thai airways for now cos the food on the plane is so yummy and got so many videos and games to play and watch. but i was fell asleep for almost the entire flight >< and they give out great playing cards, which xining gladly took 4 from the air stewardess D:

reached melbourne at 2pm and we went straight to our accomodation: YHA metro melbourne! some youth hostel which is quite coolios actually. it had a mini pool table, internet and a lounge like sitting area, and of course a GREAT rooftop. room mates with chengaik, pohcheng and girvan! then immediately, it was walk walk walk to melbourne central to buy groceries. and that was when, i saw. yes i saw KRISPY KREMES! haha yes, and that was how the 6 of us ended up carting 5 dozen donuts back to singapore. but more of that later xD then it was back to the hostel for DINNER. you go to melbourne hoping to get some decent pasta/lazanga, but not until you see the lady standing behind the hostel’s cafeteria counter is actually a CHINESE >< so you can imagine the type of pasta we tasted laa, our first meal in melbourne >< but the chinese food she cooked subsequently a few days later was not bad! went to the rooftop with roomies and was like OMGish from the nice nice view of the sunset! you can see it below.

ok enough said. i shall blog bout the other days some other time. pictures first!
